StudyAbroad @ University of Alberta Program (SA@UA)
The University of Alberta offers over 200 undergraduate programs. Students can take courses in both official languages: English and French. Proof of language proficiency may be required.
Students in any discipline or area of study are encouraged to participate in the SA@UA program. Students will be admitted to the Faculty, which best matches their home programme of study or degree or to the Faculty that best accommodates the student's desired list of courses. Students should be prepared to be flexible in their course selection.
Please be aware that some courses will have prerequisites and you must be able to show that you have completed a comparable prerequisite course. Also please note that for courses in Engineering or Business you must be registered in an Engineering or Business degree/programme at your home university.
How to research courses available through the SA@UA
Please note that the Fall/Winter 2010-2011 course schedule is not available in BearTracks until the middle of March.
The easiest way to research courses is to log into our BearTracks computer system. Click the "Guest Sign In" button and you will be taken to a screen where you can search the available courses by semester. When doing your search if the "Show Open Classes Only" box is checked then you will only see courses that still have space. Uncheck this box and you will see all the courses on offer but some may already be full.
View the 2009-2010 electronic calendar, for the course listings/descriptions of all courses offered at the University of Alberta. You will need to look on BearTracks by semester to see if a specific course is available in the semester that you want. Not all courses are offered every semester or even every year.
